All in all this was a pretty good storyline... I have to say that the main character, Kristine, started to really irritate my nerves... well for most of the book. I thought her attitude was erratic at times, but it could just be me. I also thought that Logan definitely did not get what he had coming, really did not like that part of the story I almost felt cheated after reading such long storyline that all centered @ this man who wronged his entire family to only have a 2-3 page (SMALL SPOILER A...more
I didn't really enjoy this book as a whole. It covered too long of a time span with gaps of several years between sections. But the characters in each section were believable and some of the scens were delightful. I could imagine clearly the scene at Christmas with all the dogs in the house when the heat in the kennel went out. But Kristine as a character bothered me and I can't believe Woody kept waiting for her. At least the villan got his in the end.
This story kept me really entertained; I couldn't stop reading. The author added just the right combination of suspense, romance, and revenge. Then she finished it off with the perfect ending. I would highly recommend this story.
Kristine Kelly didn't see what was happening when her husband, Logan Kelly, disappeared with her eight million dollar trust fund, traveled around the world after changing his I.D. and left her with the three children.

Woman's jerk husband disappears and doesn't return to mess her life up until she has already established an awesome life for herself. She breeds dogs, too!

A marvalous book showing what a family - mother and three kids can accomplish dispite the fact that dad has vanished along with all their money. The whole book is truly a celebration of life.
Easy read for a plane ride. Kristine starts as a wimp of a wife with no personality and develops into a character able to succeed and find happiness. Book had more depth than I expected.
This is what I'm reading while on a Stephen King break. Why? I'm not sure. I usually love Fern Michaels but this one, not so much. About a third of the way through and I can pretty much tell you where this one is going. Finishing is questionable.
I liked the story, though the whole thing was a bit long. The characters were well-developed and the plot moved along. All in all, a good read.
Two stars. The characters are so frusturating, I had to put the book aside for a while just to finish it.
Not much to say. Just a nice little book. Not a fan of her writing style, though.
Really liked this book. Fern has a way with stories.
This book was very predictable and a bit too long. Overall just ok
Book #11 read in 2008
Pretty good.
I keep reading. She keeps writing.
Very very good...
the beginning pissed me off....I just cannot handle women this weak. But the book DID pick up and was awesome once she got a backbone!
A quick read and very fluffy but I liked it.
