Reading biographies of major historical figures can be a little bit of a daunting proposition. How much time and what kind of scope really interests me. I found Chamberlin's biography and it is relatively short and there are even a few photos. Ok...this I can handle. The writing is very conversational and easy to follow, also sort of difficult sometimes to find in biographical texts, as if complicated sentence structure legitimizes the veracity of the research.
