I wish I had read this years ago...before I ever stepped into a "group" of pray-ers. It would have prevented me from going AWOL on prayer. Ms. Johnson does an excellent job of teaching on intercessory prayer and leaves the reader eager to get into the Father's presence and rejoice! My life is better as a result of reading this book.
It is encouraging and uplifting. It's presented as what they currently do and not as a definitive way everybody must do things everytime. It changed how I see intercession for sure. I like it.
This is a book for followers of Christ who want to experience God on a deeper level in their prayer lives. It was recommended by a friend of mine and I found it to be a very enjoyable read. Many of the concepts were new to me, as I am not from an Assemblies of God background and would not consider myself to be a charismatic Christian. A great book that will encourage you in your search for the ultimate time with God. it takes all the religion out of prayer and makes it inviting.
Some great insights on prayer--particularly liked Beni's thoughts about worship. Some of the theology is weak.

I really liked this book and will keep it for reference. Very well written, not repetitive at all, easy to read and very, very good info and insight. It's been awhile since I've read a really good book so this was quite refreshing.
