Whether or not I end up making any of the patterns in this book, I think its true value is in its first chapter: ten pages of practical advice on how to take your body measurements and adjust sweater patterns so that the finished sweater looks good on you, makes you look good, and fits.
Loved the beginning section on shapes and measuring. Great ideas on what to pair with different sizing. Most of the projects are very classic lines. What I didn't like was he are all pieced items. Would have liked something that was constructed in one piece.
This is the space where you are to hear about me, Sally Melville—knitting designer / teacher / author. These spaces are usually written by people other than the person who is written about—for objectivity and all that good stuff.
