I dont know why I put off reading this book for so long! Maybe it was the name... Im not sure, but I could kick myself! It was so good! Great love story, great ending, nice character development... I cant say enough good things!

Christian is drowning his sorrows. His boyfriend Andrew dumped him to get back together with his ex-wife Lexie. The best way to cope? Get totally sauced. Who happens to walk in while said activity is occurring, none other than his ex's best friend Trip. Trip is actually...more

Another surprise. I have read Master of Obsidianan by Jamie Craig (who is really two person, Pepper Espinoza and Vivien Dean) and when I have bought Brindisi Bedfellows I was thinking to buy something similar: sex, drama and more sex. Good for me, but instead I have found something different.

Brindisi Bedfellows is a contemporary tale about two men and their quest for love. Christian has a some years relationship with Andrew and the eve of their departure for a long time desired holiday in Italy,...more

I enjoy the writing of Jamie Craig (Vivien Dean and Pepper Espinoza) because it tends to have an edgier tone than other M/M romance. Though this wasn’t quite as sharp as usual, it still gave readers something to sink their teeth into. Instead of the usual miscommunication to build drama, here the two protagonists are on the rebound FROM THE SAME GUY! Chris was dumped by Andrew to go back to his ex-wife, again. While drowning his sorrows at a bar, he runs into Andrew’s best friend Trip. Trip is a...more

Christian gets dumped the day before he and his lover (Andrew) were supposed to go on a 3 week holiday. He's drowning his sorrows when the loser ex's best friend (Trip) shows up at the pub and somehow gets himself invited to go on the holiday with Christian.

Okay, there's your story. You know what's going to happen from there. They spend 3 weeks together and then later on have their HEA. There are 3 or 4 things that are pretty much game-over for me in a book. This had one of them and it came out...more

Well, this was ok. I don't really like my story book bad guy to be so blatantly bad, unless it fits some sort of fairytale like quality. I like a few random redeeming qualities, or an epic lack of self awareness to make them more realistic, but it felt like a cartoon character of a relationship baddy. Also- for one of the protagonists to have put up w/ that sort of behavior for 15 years smacks me with a blank face- I mean really- 15 years?. The two characters are obviously guys in their thirties...more

I think it would be best if I revisit this book at some point in the future. I was pretty busy during this reading so I couldn't concentrate on this book like I normally would. Does that mean it didn't hold my interest? Maybe but I want to give it a fair shake.

It is set in London, England, UK and in a few cities/towns in Italy (and one blowjob on the flight from London to Italy.

Christian was dumped the night before a three-week Italian holiday by his boyfriend of a year who apparently has alwa...more

Sometimes being dumped is the best thing that can happen to you. Brindisi Bedfellows is the story of lost love that leads to the real thing. Christian is dumped by his boyfriend of one year on the eve of their romantic getaway to Italy. While drowning his sorrows at the pub, his boyfriend’s best friend walks into his life and into his vacation. Over the next three weeks will they kill each other or worse fall in love?

I really enjoy...more

If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. I loved it from the first paragraph, maybe the first sentence. It snared me right from the start and didn't disappoint one bit.

I loved Trip! Ah gosh. I still love him hours after finishing the book. The relationship between him and Chris was believable and touching. They were both so well developed and interesting. I loved watching their love develop.

Deep emotions that will make you shiver, fantastic setting (who doesn't love a romantic trip...more

I had wondered at the premise and where/how it was going to resolve itself when I first started reading. But, like Christian, I was quite taken, totally charmed by Trip. The vacation was a whirlwind of going and doing and falling in love.

You get the idea that there's so much more to Trip nearly from the start, even before Christian can see it. You also get the idea that maybe Trip saw something in Christian long before Andrew abandoned them both and this escapade just an excuse to pursue it mor...more

I seem to have good luck with the Jamie Craig collaborative efforts that I've read. This is a nice easy breezy romance as Chris & Trip go on a little revenge vacation trying to get over the guy who dumped them. I like the way the authors progress the romance in such a short span (about 3 weeks) while making it believable that these two are in love. Read for sun, fun & love set in Italy.

This is a very substantial offering from the Jamie Craig combo. Good, believable character and plot development, and plenty of good sex.

I liked both these heroes and the good HEA

I didn't give it more stars because it was quite a light story, albeit very enjoyable.

A strong 3.5 stars. A nice read with fun characters and exploits. I especially liked that the bad guy wasn't evil and we learned what made the main characters tick. Still, the relationship seemed a bit too easy at times, but it was still a nice break from my reality.
thelastaerie
Quite convincing from friendship to true love romance story. I think the story has a good starting, two persons heart broken by the same man, fiercely different from each other, trying to have no-string-attached holiday sex to get over their man.

I believe this was one of the first m/m books I read. I remember really liking it. I was hooked on m/m.

Funny and sweet story with very likable characters, fast paced action and HOT sex scenes. What to want more.

I loved the way the characters interacted. Very human. Very real. Sex scenes were hot, great book.

A sweet story. I really enjoyed how the feelings toward each other are developed among them.

I love when a book is effortless! I read and loved everyone minute of my reading...I can't even determine what I loved about it because everything just worked for me. I love Chris and Trip (the passion, the sharing, the learning, the loving). Kissing...

Excellent story about two hot, likable guys who both got used and cheated on by the same man. When they decide to go to Italy together neither of them expected to fall hard for the other one. Thanks to the alternating point of views both characters become three-dimensional. And we get a good feeling for their emotions and developing relationship. Hot, moving, well-paced and engaging until the end. Loved it! 4.5 stars

I shouldn't have liked this book. One of the MCs, we discover, has been quite despicable. And yet, I loved it! Right from the get-go, I was drawn in and thoroughly enjoyed watching the MCs' growth. And in my heart I was rooting for them to get their HEA!
Dee
good quick read, but I had a hard time connecting with the characters...also the formatting was a bit weird (not page breaks between chapters which made it hard)
