I think this book does a good job of reviewing just about everything you need to know to save seeds. I like that each plant had its own page with illustrations of what the seed looks like. Unfortunately, there are several plants that were not listed in the book at all. I will probably need to find another book with an illustration of what the tiny Thyme seed looks like and how I go about gathering it.

nonfiction; gardening/diy. Step-by-step info on collecting, storing, and sowing/planting your own seeds for a great variety of different edible veggies, herbs, and decorative flowers. Doesn't include fruits or perhaps all of the veggies that you might possibly be interested in, but it's a good volume to get a beginner started (and probably also to keep on hand in future seasons to come).

this book is packed full of useful tips on saving seeds from current vegetables, herbs and other plants. may need to actually purchase this one, so we don't have to copy down the information from every page.

okay- this book is pretty limited in the amount of plants it covers, so I'm giving it a three, but as a first-book for seed planting to seed collecting, it's pretty good.
