She’s No Princess is the third Laura Lee Guhrke novel I’ve picked up. I enjoyed both previous ones quite a bit – so I was definitely looking forward to this one. While I did enjoy it, I definitely had more issues with it than I’ve had previously.

I love a stuffy, proper hero like Ian, and the heroine managed to be confident, loud mouthed, and a tease while still being likeable. I loved her. I wanted her to be real so that I could take her to dinner. That's how great and charismatic she was.

The romance was amazing, but the ending was average. It was boring and not good enough for the romance. But I am incapable of being objective about this book. If I could give it six stars, I would, dissatisfied as I am with the last 100 pages.

The buildup was almost terrific, I really got into these characters and even cried at one point! The capitulation by him was just too easy. I expected moody, angry brooding for months with lots of sexual tension, arguments with hot make up sex and him eventually coming around to her. You'd think he wouldn't give in so easily to being lovey dovey all's ok after his career got dumped and him publicly disgraced by what she did! It would have gotten a 5 if it was a bit more realistic after the marri More...

This was a typical Romance novel...one meant for a fast, easy read and escape from the moment. It is the 4th book in the series. Ian is the brother of Dylan, the hero of the 2nd book of the series. I did find myself skipping over some of the "filler" to get to the "meat". I liked to whole series. In fact, there was one character left without a story, Lord Stanton. Ms. Guhrke has written two more stories so she probably won't come back to give it to us.

Lucia is the illegitimate daughter of a prince who´s tired of her antics, now he´s assigned the diplomat sir Ian with the project to find her a husband. Six weeks and he better have money of his own. So what happens when Lucia doesn´t want a marriage without passion or love?

A fitting end to an entertaining series.

Ian is a proper and serious diplomat and Lucia is the headstrong and high spirited illegitimate daughter of a prince. While Ian is content with his solitary and full of responsibilities life, Lucia is eager to escape her father's dictates of what her life should be and adamant on picking her own husband, instead of accepting someone her father, or even worse, a stranger would choose for her.

Fino alla fine i due protagonisti, Ian e Lucia, lottano contro la ragione per far prevalere alla fine l'istinto e i sentimenti reciproci, che sono cresciuti mano a mano durante il loro conoscersi a vicenda. Molto stimolante.

This is just the sort of book this author does extremely well. It's not the most original plot (serious, intelligent man meets his match in feisty, passionate woman), but I could not put it down until I was done. The dialogue, the passion, involving previous characters from the series to just the right extent, was all done extremely well. I even love the choice of words - there's modern-day words in there, which I highly doubt would ever be used in this era, but they just work brilliantly.

I thought that this was an interesting book. I really liked Lucia! However, I did not feel the chemistry between her and Ian. I actually felt that Ian was a bit of a bore. She should have ended up with someone who had a sense of humor, and was more exciting...

Not a bad romance, but not one that made me sigh either. The hero, Ian, could've been more dashing. And the romance might've been more charming had there been more interactions between the couple.

I just love this one... an amazing history about a Prince unpleasure daugther
that falls in love by a Britain Parlament handsome guy...hehehe

This novel was enchanting, I absolutely adored Ian. Lucia was a compelling leading lady, but Ian made the story!! The ending was terrific!!

A light and fun read, just as I was expecting it would be. Didn't think it was as good as other books in this series, but I liked it all the same.

I really think this is a great book.. It's like love at first look or something but mor more powerfull

Oh, que livro tão fofo! Adorei o Ian, que Homem. Mesmo. Apesar de não ter achado grande piada à Lucia no início, com o desenvolvimento do enredo ela mostrou mais do que a aparência, com o sangue quente dela.
Adorei poder também rever as personagens anteriores, especialmente o Anthony. Foi uma série que marcou a diferença no género e a autora vai ficar referenciada para o género de romance de época, também.
Agora quero ler a outra série dela que também suscita interesse! ;)
