A nicely written fantasy with a standard backdrop of circa-medieval kingdoms, a beautiful princess, a heroic prince, an evil wizard, and an imminent power struggle over succession to the throne. The twist on the familiar themes turns on the various characters themselves, especially Tymon the Black, whose reputation as the world's most evil wizard is more calculation than fact. I write mostly fantasy, both short stories and novels. My third short story collection, On the Banks of the River of Heaven was published in November, 2010.
