A nicely written fantasy with a standard backdrop of circa-medieval kingdoms, a beautiful princess, a heroic prince, an evil wizard, and an imminent power struggle over succession to the throne. The twist on the familiar themes turns on the various characters themselves, especially Tymon the Black, whose reputation as the world's most evil wizard is more calculation than fact. Just pretentious and boring; could not believe the critical acclaim it got
It started out great, but then disappointed. It needed more "evil deeds."
Oh No! I got sucked in by great cover art, even the premise was interesting, booklost steam and my interest midway
This book is so good that I can't remember a thing about it. True, it's been a few years since I read it but I figure something would come to me. Nope, a complete blank.

I write mostly fantasy, both short stories and novels. My third short story collection, On the Banks of the River of Heaven was published in November, 2010.
