Not just the three photo guides put together (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring Photo Guide, The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers Photo Guide, The Lord of the Rings the Return of the King Photo Guide) - some additional plot details have been added (most notably to the Fellowship section, which was in dire need of it, and the Return of the King section where the full ending has been included) and lots of the photos have been altered (where spoiler-y photos couldn't be used pre-releas ...more

It is called the official children's photo guide, but I think adults will enjoy it as well! It's packed with pictures, including some I'd never seen before, and is in a story format. Lots of pictures, a few words, just enough to tell the story. I was especially glad that this book, at least, goes all the way to the very end of the movie. A lot end right before the climax, which is a bummer. It's a beautiful photo collection!

Enjoyable, but not amazing. It's aimed at kids so the writing is very simplistic and reads like a childrens' storybook. The photos are interesting but some of them aren't great quality. It was a good way to pass my time, but nothing overly memorable.

The story as told in this book is a little.. off, but it's quite a beautiful book with loads of pictures and that makes it worth the read.
