if you're young, hispanic, conservative, a spanish reader, and interested in the opinion of latin american politicians, .....anyone? anyone? Anyways, we, as Americans, should be grateful for what we have. This book helps you understand what it is like to live under socialist/communist countries (Cuba, Venezuela, etc). We make communism cool and chic but have no idea what those types of government systems do to a nation. Take off those Che Guevara t-shirts you ingrates, he stood for oppression. L More...

An impressive book that describes how some latin american presidents (continue to) ruin their countries.

GREAT !!!

Spicy political humor, accurate descriptions and argumentations on why are the Latin American idiots back, who they are and what they want.

The authors may take this too personal, perhaps; but I believe this adds value to the book. Besides, they have not said yet that this work was just a description...

Reads a bit too much like a textbook, but there is so much knowledge dropped in this book it kind of has to. If you are thinking about a college career as an American Studies Major, this is a must read for you. If you can defend populism after this book you deserve your degree.

This book is the antidote to Galeano's "Open Veins of Latin America." Though it makes some good points, and highlights Galeano's exaggerations, its satire falls a little flat in translation. This is one I'd like to read in the original Spanish, when I'm ready.

Fun, insightful, repetitive. Readable when understood that the term "idiot" is less meant as pejorative and more as a classification of an ever-present mindset throughout Latin America.

A lot of my friends will blacklist me for four-starring this book.

Se que es un crimen quemar un libro, pero con éste lo haria sin pensarlo.
