I loved this book. I love that she's country, love that she's from NC (reppin' Mt. Airy! yes, from Andy Griffith...) Not that I'm well read in the "genre", but I don't know of a lot of LG authors that have her authentic, Southern, rural roots and voice. It tends (perhaps sterotypically) to be a big-city, "up north" vibe I've gotten from the (one) handful of LG writers I'm familiar with...just very lyrical, very beautiful stuff, care taken over every phrase, carefully conceived.
