Witschonke designed a wonderful illustration of China’s great wall for the cover of Mann’s book, “The Great Wall”. Mann is a former school teacher who appears to have written this book as an informational aide to students. She captures the attention of her readers’ right from the beginning with her recount of the war of 1449 that involved the Chinese and the Mongols. Shelves: world-history
Okay, I loved this book! This book recounts 1500 years of Chinese history in an easily understood format. They cover the last four dynasties. I just took a BYU college class that talked a lot about Chinese History and this book was a great summary of everything I learned. Lots of history without random pix bites all over it. (Think CNN and 5 different news feeds coming through on the same screen).

Easily read information and nice pictures. Simple, but a lot of information. This book is long, but
