Many literature lovers and theater fans will love this predictable trope-filled spin on the classic. Those without a decent background in those areas might not get much from it. Cute, in an "OK" way. 2.5 - 3 stars
This play was fun. It is certainly meta-theatrical, which for me is always a good decision. But other than reinforcing the idea that Hamlet, or Shakespeare in general is universal, I don't feel like the play did that much. I don't feel like this is a very helpful review, but I don't have much more to say. This play didn't challenge my thinking about Hamlet, or about the culture of West Virginia (in fact it occasionally relied on stereotypes).
