Your first job isn't all it's cracked up to be . . . You just spent $100,000 on a college degree to make photocopies. And your manager probably isn?t even happy with them.
Life at the entry level isn't about what school you graduated from, or even who you know. It's actually about paying dues and brownnosing and keeping your foot out of your mouth during meetings.

Forget Dilbert! Pick up this book if you are looking for relateable humor about how much your job sucks. Not only will you laugh like crazy, but it is actually insightful as to WHY your job sucks so much. And, crazy as it sounds, the knowing why helps make it bearable.

This will be the default present for all future grads in my circle of friends. It's that good. Like a handbook to surviving your first job and a good comedic performance rolled into one.

I guess I'm too old for this book. I picked it up because it looked interesting, but even though I'm older and am not the demographic this book is aimed at, I also did not start as a "grunt" in some Fortune 500 company, so the information wasn't pertinent to me, even when I was the age this book is for. I'm sure I would have finished it had I any connection to the information in it. It was somewhat funny and well written, but again, I didn't catch all of the humor as I had no experience with wha ...more

Although this book has some interesting points, I only got a limited amount out of it. The book’s humorous tone meant that it was difficult to differentiate between wry comments and actual advice that was (attempted to be) imparted. I also question some of the critical statements in this book, and as such, its value may be limited.

Sincerity is the key to success. If you can fake that, you have got it made....This book is a must read for those who have just entered the big corporate world. Lessons which you can put to use everyday. Makes you understand the realities in a very humorous way. Brought it from a neighbourhood library. But planning to buy it on my own...

I thought this book would be funnier then it actually was. It relied excessively on innuendo which, I think, is a copout to keep things "interesting" instead of actually writting engaging content. I did enjoy some of the insights the writter gave, most of them are pretty common sense.

I actually read this book off and on over the past year. It would have been much better if the number of "Big Lies" had been about 40 instead of 100. The humor got very repetitive after a while.

I did enjoy opening it up as a graduation gift from my brother last year, though.

This book spoke to me. It cracked me up on the subway, and made my soul smile.
