My Thoughts:

When it comes to suspense that not only leaves your pulse pounding, but robs you of your breath, Spindler is the gal to do it. I have been a “Spindlette” ever since I read Bone Cold in 2001… Wow, I’m having a bit of a tough time digesting that it’s been ten years since picking it up, too. I read EVERYTHING the gifted visionary creates. I often reread my favorites when I am missing my favorite characters and when I need a dose of Spindler.

See Jane Die is a delicious stay up all night...more

Erica Spindler's See Jane Die is a suspenseful thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very ending. Its also one that doesn't give you a clue at the "whodunitt" either, so if you're like me, its pretty darn hard not to flip to the last page to see if everything worked out well for the chacters in the story. Jane Killian is a woman with much to live for. After a boating accident as a teen left her disfigured, she has rebuilt her life and her face, thanks to many surgeries....more

Erica Spindler has the uncanny knack of outdoing herself with each and every novel. This newest one was so gripping, I kept turning page after page after page and was toting the book everywhere-in the car, to the doctor's, to the school to pick up my kids and even to the bathtub! lol

From back cover:

"I did it on purpose. To hear your screams.

Nearly killed as a teenager by a hit and run boater, Jane Killian is a woman with everything to live for. A series of surgeries restored her lovely face. She...more

I was excited at first to read the book because of the positive reviews below. 1st chapter is great, It got me interested. then i was introduce to roller coaster of characters and everything went downhill from there. i just found them talking and thinking nonsense. I dont feel for the characters and actually wondered why this book is about Stacy. I got irritated because theres no emotion attached to their ramblings regardless how Ms. spindler put the stress on each characters past. I ended up sk...more

A nice little thriller about two sisters, one a formerly disfigured artist named Cameo and one a police detective. Cameo's husband is charged with murder after several of his plastic surgery patients are found dead. There is also a bizarre assistant in love with Cameo - to the point of constructing fake pictures of the homes and vacations they share in his fantasy life, and a cop romance where the detective sleeps with her partner. Not to mention a psychologist who is lifelong friends with both...more

It's been years since I read See Jane Die, but I still recall the plot vividly. That's the sign of a brilliant storyteller, when she can wrap you around her plot and character you remember it to this day.
This is one of my favorite Erica Spindler novels. She gains our sympathy immediately for her protagonist Jane and then neatly introduces suspects into the plot of those closest to her. But I think the introduction of Stacey, who Ms. Spindler chose to give her own story after See Jane Die, delig...more

I don't have much to say about this book. It was neither good nor bad. It was neither exciting nor dull. The characters were not well developed--shallow, if you will, in more ways than one. The writing was adequate, yet not overly competent. As an example, it really grated on my nerves that the author kept writing that a character saw something out of the corners of her eyes--yes, corners as in the plural--which is virtually impossible as humans cannot spread their eyes in opposite directions. A...more

The first book I ever read by Erica Spindler. I thought it was great at the time, but now I know that she has other, far better books. But still, this book made me fall in love with Spindler and her perfect mix of love and death. I didn't always love the main character (Jane), but now I think it was good that she is not the typical main-character. She is a strong person, but quite whiny at times. But she really seem like a loving person, and the story was still... yes, I'll say it; awesome !

This was another book my mom had given me to read. It was on the top of my box of books so I grabbed it to read. It was an okay book, one to read when you are bored. My only gripe is her use of descriptions. I would find myself thinking I was re-reading the last paragraph becuase the author repeated herself with describing things. She does this several times towards the end. The end was a suprise to me... Kind of far fetched but I guess it could happen.....

I bought this book at a secomd hand book store and really liked it. Its about a lady who as a teen was swimming and ran over by a boat in the ocean. Later in her life things started happening to her to make her believe that the man who ran her down with the boat was coming back to finish the job this time by killing her. Its full of twists and you have several suspects that could have done this to her. Shocking til the end

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel from Erica Spindler and I intend to read a lot more of her work. I decided to read as many new authors to me this year and it is paying dividends. I have opened up a new source of good books and this was one of the best so far. This story was action packed and keeps you guessing to the very end of the book.

This was the first book that I had read of Erica Spindler. I love that the big reveal is not until the very end. I can only guess who the real killer is and just when I think I've figured it all out, as in true Spindler talent, I'm usually wrong! I've ready almost every book she has written and have loved every one!

The novel was great. I thought the first 80 pages were slow moving. I thought it dragged a little. And then I was starting to figure out how was the killer. I had 4 possibles in my head.

It kept me going and the novel was getting better. A good roller-coaster of events. Keeps you thinking until the end.

This was my first Erica Spindler novel and was pleasantly surprised. I was sure I knew who the killer was and it turned out to be someone I never suspected (and I suspected just about every character at one time or another). Very enjoyable read.

This is another dark and deep novel from Erica Spindler about revenge and betrayal from someone close to you and trusted. What a turn around! Nice read! As a teenager, Jane was nearly killed by a boating accident, which nearly disfigured her face. A couple of plastic surgeries restored her face to what it was, when she met her husband Ian, a plastic surgeon and fell in love. As an artist in Dallas, she's well-known and loved. Only one person have been sending her threats to scare and intimidate...more

Very interesting. I borrowed from my sister and I got sucked in. Fictional murder mystery. I would recommend if you like suspense. It isn't the best, but a decent read.

Just when you think you know who the killer is the plot twists and throws it towards another possiblity. Lots of improbable police procedures but still interesting reading.

Good 'who done-it' book that kept me guessing pretty much the whole book. I'd start to think I figured it out and then I'd change my mind - over & over again.
