A friend of mine who is an Excel consultant said, "The answer is a pivot table; now what is the question?" I was acquainted with the primitive capability of pivot tables in early versions of Excel, but I did not realize how powerful they have become. I am now finding many uses for them. Jelen has written an excellent learning tool and resource book. He has most of the examples in the book available in completed Excel workbooks that can be downloaded from a web site for free. Great introductory book for pivot tables/charts for beginners. Also, some gems for intermediate users.

The book was put together very well and was easy to read.

My only disappointment was that it wasn't as advanced as I was hoping.
