description
"If you don't like the way your life is going, redesign it. Redeem the years you lost. Restore your vision, revive your passion for living, and reclaim what was dormant inside of you. I cannot give you the dream but I can give you the tools to reach the dreams you have inside. I have seen what successful people do over and over again. I want to show you how to Reposition Yourself so you can do it, too. I have learned that minor adjustments make a big difference."

I would really give this book a 3.5 stars.
A good book overall, but I read so many books about self improvement that the overlap seems to phase me. He says a lot of the same messages.
The first 60 pages are pretty fast, then it slows down. The last 80 pages are more focused on how women can succeed, so I skimmed through those pages.

Excellent book to keep close by as a reminder that if you want different results about yourself, don't do the same old thing in the same old way! Expect change when you yourself institute change, starting with yourself! Thank you, TD Jakes! This book is like a new and improved version of Paul Tillich's The Courage to Be.

Everyone
I thought this book was truly inspiring. Jakes does an execellent job of motivating people to reposition themself and achieve their goals. Although he does use scriptures as the basis for the points made in this book, he illustrates his points through the use of vivid imagery and practical examples without condemnation, being condescending, or coming across as "preachy". I would reccommend this book to anyone who is looking to improve their life. This book is full os so many useful...more

This is a shrill wake-up call to take charge of every single moment. Not only does it confront areas where subtle passivity or even poor choices may have stifled the reader's creativity, but it also instructs how to manage change and maximize life now.

Bishop T.D. Jakes talks about faith and pratical applications of faith in everyday life. He touches on financial security, self-awareness and self-reliance, and dealing with all of the moving parts of life. Jakes is a gifted writer, but and an even more gifted speaker.

This book sheds a lot of insight and really has me thinking that there are lots of areas I could be better in. So though I have been reading it for months. It's something I pick up when I need to feel reassured about where I am going and things I can do to get there.

I've picked this book up, put down, picked it up again. But, it truly helps you when you're in a crisis, especially a career or financial crisis. It helps you to change your thoughts, be more creative, come up with ideas to point you in the right direction.

Dr. Phil McGraw
Rev. Jakes has a great handle to getting out of your daily rut. A solution to the ordinary life and I love it and recommend it highly. With a forward by Phil McGraw, it made it a "better" reading idea. It's a new form of "how to".

I am not really a fan of TD Jakes, I have had issues with his books before. They read more like fiction than nonfiction. I guess there are worse books to read. It was mostly hash--same info redone. :(
