Recommends it for: First and Second graders
Written in 2000, it gives young readers a good overview of Bill Gates' life. It focuses not only on the beginnings of Microsoft, but his philanthropy, hard work, and character. This was my son's first biography, and I think it laid the groundwork for reading more in this genre.

This is a brilliant book about how Bill Gates is the greatest man alive, written apparently for children. It's all meant quite seriously, and that's what makes it so much fun to read.
