Good paced, great characters...looking forward to Savage Transformation

The focus is the erotic scenes, but I prefer a better story. Some of the character’s actions were not very smart.

Epoc and Declan are werewolves in clans that have been warring with each other for centuries. Declan’s ancestor killed Epoc’s mate. Since then, Epoc has killed all of Declan’s relatives except Declan. Epoc now has Declan in a cage and plans to kill him soon. Regan, a human, is an animal rights activist. She breaks into Epoc’s lab planning to set all the animals free. Decla
Argh, I find it frustrating when this site doesn't let me give 0.5 stars!

It's nice to be able to read something you can sort of relate to, even if it's just the familiar city names and settings. Somehow though, I can feel a bit of Americanism seeping through the prose, like the editor's deliberately made moves to "exoticise" (doubt this word exists in the vernacular, but work with me here!) Australia for the alienated audiences. Personally it's cringe-inducing but I guess for others it's pretty
It quite hard to find paranormal romances set in Australia (Keri Arthur writes some amazing paranormal Australian books, but the ones I've read of hers are set in Melbourne and I'm from Sydney.). Couper's Savage Retribution was a wonderful find and I devoured it in a day. The hero isn't Australian, but a very sexy Irish werewolf with a horrible history and an even more horrible relationship with the villain (I'm beginning to see a trend with COuper's works - her villains are all vile and nasty). ...more
An Irish werewolf is on the run around Sydney in Lexxie Couper's Savage Retribution.

High-profile animal rights activist Regan Thomas sneaks into an animal testing facility, and manages to rescue a wolf...but he's actually Declan O'Connell, a werewolf. And the lab owner is Nathan Epoc, a Scottish werewolf from a rival clan. Epoc wants to siphon Dec's power. Dec wants to punish Epoc. And Regan wants to shag Dec...or run away from him, alternately.

This is a fun romp, as long you don't think about i
It was OK. Far from great even though it had lots of potential in the beginning. I found the sex scenes either menh-worthy or laughable. I think the author should focus on plot and character building, which is where her strength lies. Her prose has feeling and just enough depth--when it's unconnected to sex that is. Then she should cut her sex scenes in half (they will still be plenty long after that) and we'll be getting somewhere.

It had promise and I think I'll look for later books to see if s
I enjoyed the book. It's an easy and quick read. And will be interested in reading more by this author.

Lexxie’s not a deviant. She just has a deviant’s imagination and a desire to entertain readers with her words. Add the two together and you get darkly erotic romances with a twist of horror, sci-fi and the paranormal.

When she’s not submerged in the worlds she creates, Lexxie’s life revolves around her family, a husband who thinks she’s insane, a indoor cat who likes to stalk shadows, two yabbies h
