Ugh. Scattershot advice, sometimes going both directions at once ("Avoid passive construction. On the other hand, sometimes passive construction can be good. Do it sometimes, in the right places, but not too much.) Wow, that helped. The essay examples and comments on them were terrible. I'm not prepared to lower my writing expectations for my sons THIS much in search of an elusive 5 or 6 on the SAT essay. Skip this one.

I don't recommend this book . This book really confused me. Sometime they say do this and next chapter they say don't do it , so i got little bit confused. and i don't think this book will help . I have SAT exam in December so we will see if this book helped to get better score on essay.
