This book make me feel down. It's about a girl who found out that she is sick with cancer and might have only a little time left on this world. She was sent to the hospital to get a cure. At the hospital, she met a girl that have similar situation. Since then, they became friends. They both fight to live. This book really make me feel sad but I like how the story go, so i will continue reading "I Want to Live."

Make sure you have a box of kleenex handy when you start this series. While they are short books-you could read a book a day-they are sad. Like most of her books, Lurlene McDaniel addresses a hard subject-facing death. She has a unique way of hitting on the questions a young person with cancer would be asking themselves. This series is worth the read.

I read the first two Dawn books when I was a kid. Fascinating to read again! I remember the first time after reading Six Months to Live that I cut myself shaving. Freaked out. Good times, good times. I did learn what/where my lymph nodes were, so it's educational! Teen fiction.

The second star is because if I was the intended audience--*when* I was the intended audience--I would apparently have liked it. But it's not the kind of YA book you go back to and keep enjoying. It's exceedingly simple.
