Jul 28, 2010 Robyn rated it it was ok
After two years of teaching English to French students and not having even a hint of actual background in ESL teaching, I figured it is time to instruct myself just a little bit.

This book primarily applies to teaching English in the United States, but the outline of the evolution of theoretical approaches (audio-linguisim to participatory learning) is useful and some of the activities can be adapted to a foreign classroom. (If only I could manage a cultural field trip to England!)
