I was thoroughly unimpressed by this book. After I finished it, I felt like I was exactly where I was before I even picked it up. Most of the useful things it said were things that I had already picked up during student teaching (yes, they were that obvious). Everything else either went against the type of classroom I want to have or was just plain useless. I have no desire to have a class full of students who aren't motivated to do anything unless I coax them with pieces of candy, nor do I wish ...more
