This book is about one those foundational principles in the Christian life that if you can truly get a hold of, it will revolutionize your life. I had the privilege of hearing Dr. Rogers preach this series live, which he later turned into this book. As I read it, I still hear his ol' "golden throat," gushing out one gem after another. The central truth in this book is: "When it comes to authority, you cannot be over those things that God wants you to be over until you learn to be under those thi ...more

Rogers' defines kingdom authority as "the right delegated and given to us by God to act for Him in spiritual matters."

The book is divided into four sections:

Part 1: Recognizing the Priority of Kingdom Authority
Part 2: Understanding the Principles of Kingdom Authority
Part 3: Exercising the Power of Kingdom Authority
Part 4: Learning the Places of Kingdom Authority

I found it helpful in my general study of Spiritual Warfare, I didn't finish the book.

This will be one for me to come back to

Good read for all Christians on all levels of spirituality. Learned quite a bit from Adrian Rogers through this book. Went well with my studies on "spiritual armor". I feel more equipt now!

“This is the essence of Kingdom Authority. Fathers can have no authority in the home until they have surrendered to the headship of Jesus. Mothers cannot pray with authority for their children when they have no submissive spirit to their own husbands. Pastors cannot lead, teach, or preach with anointing and supernatural power without being fully broken and surrendered to the lordship of Christ, the authority of the Word, and the commands of the Spirit.” 3 likes
“There must be a law if there is to be liberty. Try to play a piano and you will run into laws as fixed as the decrees of the Medes and Persians. But through those statutes you reach the songs, drudgery leads to delight. The law of Christ brings the liberty of Christ. Keep His statutes, and they become songs. The other side of commandment is conquest. What seems restraint to the outsider means release to you.” 1 likes
