Tom Wolfe has an amazing ability to make it all look easy! Canes and the like is not my area of interest in woodcarving right now, but this book is filled with techniques and hints that have a lot of generalizeability for other projects. I have also fiund that, as my skill level increases (very gradually, I'm here to tell ya), my ability to learn from more advanced techniques also develops.
