A delightful and thought provoking book for children and adults. We have been reading this book for about 5 years and still find it engaging at age 9. We have discussed the possibility of a series, but haven't been able to find anything that supports this theory. Even though the story both opens and closes as though we came into it midway, it appears that this is the only book.
Really depressing for a children's book. It's depressing content come from it's realistic telling of how life was on a boat in ealier times.
