I did this as a bible study and really enjoyed it. It was accompanied by a video where Lisa spoke each week and she's someone with extraordinary stories of her life and she's the kind of person you would just want to be friends with.
The main ideas that jumped out at me are:
1-A daily prayer that states, "God I want to see You today. I want to hear You today. I want to know when You're speaking to me today. God I want to know You. Prepare my heart to say yes to You.

This book is probably a great place to start if you have never studied obedience, but it is not a comprehensive resource. I felt the writing was a bit fluffy and relied too heavily on anecdotes. I would have liked to seen more Scripture and more time spent on how to walk out obedience when it is hard work. (ie., loving the unloveable, walking in obedience through times of hardship or conflict, etc...)
Usually I would say that I was not wanting the book to end, if it were a book of Characters and Storyline; however this Study book about radical obedience has impacted my daily life, that I don't want it to end. This book was a friend of encouragement and direction to keep me focused on Christ and Eternity and to Keep walking In Faith. I appreciate the references to scriptures in the Bible. I am blessed by Lysa's writings and God speaking through her. I believe you will be blessed by her writing...more

I did this as part of a small group bible study with the video and just read the book the last couple days. It has been transformative to my outlook and perception of what it is to be 'radically obedient' to a living God - who loves and guides me daily and has a divine plan for my life. It has challenged my in a very positive way to seek the face of God.
As you read Lysa TerKeurst's book, she writes as one sitting at your table having a gentle friend chat or a loving mother discussion. I enjoyed this book so much that I am going straight into her book "What happens When Women say Yes to God." I am amazed at how Lysa's story intertwines with my own. I would bet that her story intertwines with yours too.
Although this isn't an especially meaty or substantial book, I enjoyed it. The author's discussions about radical obedience are inspiring. I like how the book combines traditional chapters with Bible study work to complete on your own.

Probably my favrotie book by my dear friend and colleauge at P31 Ministries, and I think I've read all of Lysa's.

Inspiration for following God's lead more closely in your personal life. A re-read, for sure.
Amazing book! If radical obedience to Christ is what you desire then read this book!

Very good! Makes me realize how much more I need to put my focus on God!
For me and my personality, this book is pretty cheesy. But It does have a lot of good points and reminders for sure.
Loved this book and looking forward to reading more by her.
Love Lysa! Inspires me to be a better Christian.

Finished this interactive workbook while reading the book too during Women's Bible Study at my church. I really enjoyed it. We watched the companion DVD as a group. Each week we read & heard about extraordinary things happening in Lysa's life & saw how saying YES changes lives and the world!

this is a really good book, did a study at church with this book, the workbook and a dvd.
This book tells us how to get rid of our inhibitions to following God. There are a lot of personal stories about the authors own journey to say "yes" to her Him.
Loved this book as I have all of Lysa TerKeurst's books. This one was the type of book that made you want to read the WHOLE thing in one sitting.
Excellent read. Lots of suggestions that we can all apply to our own lives to Live a more God Centered/God Controlled life.
