Renowned presidential impersonator John Morgan illustrates how the same principles that helped him mimic President George W. Bush are actually biblical precepts that can encourage believers to become authentic imitators of Jesus Christ. These laugh-out-loud stories reveal how much fun being "Dubya" can be, but they also demonstrate that underneath Morgan's presidential ext ...more

"Imitation happens automatically, but it also happens by choice."

John Morgan was called to become an impersonator of George W. Bush and a very successful one as well. His wit, charm and most of all his passion for Jesus Christ, His Lord and Saviour is obvious throughout My life as a Bush and my heart for imitating Jesus.

It is interesting to read about the life of John Morgan, how he became the impersonator of Georg W. Bush and the different incidents along the way of his career. One of the thi

John Morgan's story is both amusing and inspirational. The story of his life as an impersonator of former president George W. Bush is filled with humor. His personal testimony regarding his impersonation of Jesus is a beautiful spiritual parallel. When John discovered his resemblance to "Dubya" he began developing the skills involved in impersonating the former president. He practiced facial expressions and physical mannerisms in front of the mirror, and listened to recordings made by the former ...more

John Morgan takes us on a journey that reveals both his life history and his spiritual history. We get to see what it was like for Mr. Morgan to take on the task of learning to imitate former President George Bush and make a very successful career out of it. We also get to see what it means to make imitation of Christ a personal responsibility in every aspect of life from salvation to daily living. The author does this with humor and insight to the ingrained desire each of us has to imitate thos ...more

My Life as a Bush…and my heart for imitating Jesus by John Morgan was a most inspirational and entertaining book. I have to admit that I had never heard of John Morgan. I like the way the book was organized with each chapter relating a professional experience of John’s as he impersonated President George W. Bush. Each chapter also included John’s testimony of his life as an imitator of Jesus as he follows Jesus in his daily walk as a Christian. John told how the principles that he uses to impers ...more

This book is one of those "Easy Reads", mostly due to the manner in which it was presented, i.e., the first part of the chapter detailing a mostly anecdotal event as an impersonator of George W. Bush, followed by a related comparison to a faithful "walk with Jesus". In the first few chapters, I felt a little disappointed because I was hoping to hear a lot of impersonation "stories" and sad that the chapters were so short on that topic. However, in a very short time I began to look forward to all ...more

If I woke up my spouse in the middle of the night to tell him to impersonate G.W.Bush I know he would not have reacted as nicely as Mr. Morgan did to his wife! He lays out the story of how he went from working in the family business to being a fantastic impersonator of Bush in a most hilarious and riveting way! I was convicted and struck by the questions he asks you after each chapter. His "job" as a Bush impersonator has so many life lessons wrapped up in it.
I started the book expecting a funny

I received this book from Bookfun.org in exchange for my honest opinion. I would recommend this book to republicans, democrats and independents alike. The ability of Mr. Morgan to use his real life events and relate them to scripture is enlightening. It’s interesting how easily he was able to use his own life experiences while impersonating President Bush and the correlating it all to the life of Christ.
I also like the follow-up questions at the end of each chapter, they make you think and do no

I loved how John told his story as an impersonator of George Bush and paralleled it to knowing Christ. This book could be given to a person and it would not be too preachy, but yet it tells it like it is. Would you stand up for something you believe in when its time to take sides?

Thank you Creation House for allowing me to read this book and thank you to www.bookfun.org for giving me this opportunity to give a fair and honest review.
