Playtime Rhymes for Little People is a fun book with lots of less-popular rhymes for young children. Some of the rhymes were ones I had heard as a child, while many were new to me. Many of the rhymes are probably more appropriate for young students and children just beginning to learn how to read. The pictures that accompany the rhymes are quite adorable and make the book well worth the money. Clare Beaton is an amazing artist whose colours and skill with appliqué produce simply lovely pictures. No wonder it has been rereleased with a CD (good for me as there were a few unfamiliar rhymes included). There is a good selection of rhymes, and some very useful action instructions.

This book has that and many other ones that I had forgotten about over the years. Now I can share them with my grandson.

Collection of well- and less-known nursery rhymes and songs. Rhymes accompanied by instructions for finger play or active movement. Quilt like stitched felt/fabric illustrations.
I really like this book. It has a lot of rhymes that I've never heard before and the CD is helpful for tunes.
