OK, Mozart may actually make Tad Lincoln look well behaved (see the review of Magic Tree House #47: Abe Lincoln At Last!). Reading this over I kept thinking that Schonbrun Palace sounds a whole lot like Versailles. Maybe all the crowned heads of Europe had the same architects?
Once again, Jack and Annie show the importance of Doing Your Research Before You Go for time-travellers. Much of the adventure time is taken up by Jack being embarrased by his poor manners in front of the Empres More...

This is the second book I've read from this series, and again I've rated it 4 stars mostly because I am pleasantly surprised (maybe I ought not to be anymore) by how deftly Ms. Osborne weaves this tale into something digestible by her intended audience. I'm glad that my 7-year-old is hooked on this series and got me into it, too. (Though obviously, I am not reading the novels in order - neither is my daughter!)

This is the best Jack and Annie yet. Well, almost. There are other great ones. Moonlight and Magic Flute is about Mozart! And Osborne portrays him true to form, a royal brat. Typical of her great writing and brevity with words, she paints a picture of who he is through the eyes of Jack and Annie, but this is much more Jack's story so far. It shows him really feeling in this book, which I've not noticed a lot in this series.

They go back to the time that Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was 6 years old and was to perform for the royal family of Austria. But he doesn't, he wants to play and then goes to the zoo and opens all the cages so that the wild animals end up chasing him. Jack and Annie have to play their magic flute (good for only one use) and sing a song to send all the animals back to their homes. He remembers that he loves music and is able to perform a wonderful musical number for the royals.

i like this book because Annie and jack help bring happiness to millions of people I say this because if jack and Annie didn't go to the party then they would not have help a artist seek his right place. They had to make him share his talent with the world. But they cannot do it with the artist it self being friend with them.To find out what happens read the book.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've really enjoyed the books in this series and this was a fun story. Although it seemed to start a little slow, once we got into the tale, our girls didn't want me to stop until we finished. They enjoyed learning about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and the fantastic adventure with the Magic Flute was very imaginative. We are looking forward to reading more books in this series.

This has introduced my 4 and 6-year-old to who Mozart was and now they know a little history when they hear his music (no we don't normally listen to a lot of classical - they actually recognized it on Disney's Little Einstein's! :)). Another great Magic Tree House book. A little fiction mixed with true history - fun!

Jack and Annie are off on another great Merlin mission. This time they have bring happiness to millions of people. Jack's a little grumpy in this one, but in the end the mission works out perfectly. I love to read these books with Amber. They're exciting and fun, but you learn something, too. In this case, we learn about a famous composer. I'm sure you can guess who by the title.

There was a little boy named Mozart and he unlocked all the cages to the animals in the zoo. And a cheetah started chasing after him. Jack and Annie played the flute and then the cheetah, the bear, the hyena, and all the animals went home.

I liked the part when Jack and Annie saved Wolfie from the wild animals. I also learned that Wolfie was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's nickname. My nickname is Gabe.

I read these books all the time when I was little! I love them as much as I did back then, even if the stories aren't at my level.

I'm partial to this one because it is about Vienna. The series of books has become more interesting as the stories go on.

We love that Mozart's nickname was Wolfy. If we ever have a pet, I think we should name it wolfy after Mozart.

Magic Tree House book about Mozart. Cute book! I shared with my kids what I knew about Mozart and his opera The Magic Flute. Without this book, they would have never listened to these details!
