Little rabbit wakes up in the barrow, he hears something and needs to go out and figure out what it is. As he hops around he meets a ladybug, fluffy grass, flowers, a baby bird and more things. Finally he knows what the sound was, he rush back to his family and tell the news that spring is here.
I would use this book to go over the idea of season, discuss the differences between spring, summer, fall and winter. For the spring we would go on a scavenger hunt and look for spring things outside at

Great bilingual book, it engaged all the children in day care as they tried to guess the news. Lots of good adjectives for the children to learn. We got the board book which was easy for even the youngest infants to hold. The glossy covers were easy to disinfect. The print is small, this is a book for you to read to the children, not for them to practice reading themselves. A big plus is that this book was grammatically correct in both English and Spanish, a lot of bilingual books are butchered ...more
Mommy got this book from the library to celebrate spring's arrival, but neither of us was too thrilled with it.
Spring IS good news, till it gets too hot.
