the interviews are great--anthony braxton, alton abraham (late manager and co-conspirator of sun ra's), george clinton.
there is a segment of music journal articles that are more variable, but i think that a function of the breathless music mag tone. i am reading this backwards, so havent got to the first section yet.

no better place to look for an in depth look at the workings of creative minds that have shaped the landscape of experimental and improvisational and pop music of the 20th century
