I admit, I'm one of "those people" that usually only buys manga after seeing the anime. Sola was no exception. However, this is a manga adaptation of the anime series rather than the more common vice versa.

The story is still written by the anime creator and the artwork is very faithful to the original character designs.

I thought the anime series had great potential that was cut somewhat short by the 13 episode run. I'm hoping that the manga can more fully flesh out the story.

This comic was also an anime.
Sola is about a female Yaka "Immortal creature" named Matsuri.Yakas have super natural powers but they are afraid of sun rays.Matsuri loves to drink tomato juice from a vending machine in a park.One night she met a typical school boy named yorito in the park when she was kicking the vending machine in the park as it was spoiled.Yorito like to look at the sky.
they soon became friends.

Yorito is a high school student with a rather rough life - his parents have passed away and his older sister is hospitalized. He occupies his free time visiting his sister and indulging in his hobby of taking photographs of the sky, until crossing paths with a strange girl who can't go out in the sun and seems to have a rather dangerous enemy...
