Aphra Connolly is being chased by some very dangerous people. She knows her survival depends upon staying far away from love interest Seth, and listening to her mom’s lectures on the finer points of anonymity and survival. But how is a girl supposed to live under the radar and not think about her boyfriend when she’s in Paris—the most romantic city in the world? When ...more

Aphra Connolly’s life can never be normal again, not since she discovered the true nature of her mother’s work and unwittingly landed herself on the hit list of a very dangerous man known as The Mold. So, she and her mom have been flying under the radar and hiding out in France, but despite their careful precautions, they are still not safe. When they discover they’re being followed, they’re on the run once more, but they don’t get very far once Aphra’s mother’s Parisian contact is ...more

In this third (and final?) installment of the Death by... series, Aphra is once again in danger, only this time, she gets to jetset around France and Italy. Not that she can really enjoy it when she is being used as a pawn in a life-threatening game...

I enjoyed both previous books in this series, so I was very much looking forward to joining Aphra on her latest high-stakes adventure.

The action has really been pumped up this time around. In fact, the pace is so breakneck ...more

I don’t think that I will ever get tired of this series. So forgive me for sounding a little bit repetitive as I review the third title in the Death By books.

Thinking that they were finally starting over, turns out that Aphra and her mother were wrong. They arrive in France, thinking that they were safe from the Mole, an evil leader. However, knowing that the Mulo's family was far from safety, Aphra and her mother risk their lives trying to destroy the Mole.

Since this is the third sequel to Death by Bikini, a lot has happened since the first book. But rest is assured, in the end, The Mole dies.

This book kind of reminded me of ...more

My thoughts...Wow, this was a fast-paced novel. I could not put it down because the action did not stop, at all. For me, this was a refreshing change. There were no vampires, no werewolves, no supernatural creatures, just bad guys, with guns and bombs. The main characters are in hiding until they realize that they are being hunted by a very dangerous criminal. They don't know who to trust, or if their actions will endanger their friends and loved ones. Gerber left me on the edge of my seat ...more

I'm very partial to mysteries and there are too few new YA mystery series. But let me tell ya, Linda Gerber's "Death By" series is everything that I love in a YA mystery! This is the third title in the series and it takes place in Paris where Aphra and her mother's cover have been blown and moves on to Italy. I found myself holding my breath as I turned the pages while Aphra tried to escape the bad guys and find her boyfriend too. I want more, more, more, please!

This series is all action, with little to no character, setting, or modd development. So the fast pace is great, but I struggle to care at all about any of the characters. The titles and premise are cute and interesting, but the endings are always quick and leave me wanting more explanation and closure. Good for a quick teen mystery read with action, but no gory violence, romance, but no explicit sex.

Another exciting and stimulating installment of the Death by... series! These novels are jam packed and quick paced! I think that is why I find them so enjoyable.

I think this was my favorite novel of the series! This installment has even more action than the others, if that’s even possible. Gerber was able to keep her signature style fresh and unpredictable as always!

There are a few steamy scenes between Aphra and Seth... well one scene in particular really stands out. ...more

This was another cute sequel to Death by Bikini. It is just a fun and quick YA read that is entertaining. Aphra's mother is a CIA agent involved in protecting a family with a teenage boy, Seth, Aphra's love interest. Aphra and her mother are now hiding out in France. Aphra takes off for Italy when she finds out that Seth is in danger. It has a satisfying ending that leaves the door open for another installment, which I am sure I'll pick up and read as soon as it comes out.

I enjoyed this book more than Death by Latte. The story felt much more solid, and Aphra didn't come across as incompetent nearly as much, just much more human.

This was a very good story. Plenty of action and a fast paced story line. I think it might be #3 of a series though. I need to look that up. I will be getting the other 2 for my library.

Death By Denim was like every Death By book. It was action packed and full of moments which made me go “Ohmygoodness!”. There were times when I wanted to scream for Alpha to run and rooting for her and Seth to reunite. I also liked the setting in this book. Paris is a city I definitely would love to visit. Death By Denim was hard to put down, I had to keep reading till the last page. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who likes Linda Gerber’s Death By series!
