The Upside Down Frown is a shape poem book. The poems rhyme and make the shapes of the poem topic. This is a very creative book for children and I believe it will spark the imagination of children and give them a fun way to write poetry.

I would have the students write their own shape poetry for an activity after reading this book. They would be able to come up with their own topic to write about. I believe this would be best for a first or second grade classroom.
