I read the 1991 version, so some of the information, as well as the vernacular, was outdated. However, this work was informative about the processes that take place between the family, the child and the school as immigrant children straddle two cultures. It is also the first work I have read y Herny Trueba, who seems to have produced a large body of work dealing with bilingual education and eduction of immigrants.
