Ooh hoo! I think this book is my favorite in the series. The imagery is absolutely wonderful. M’sieur Call Me Henri, the French student teacher. Libby’s “fwend” Mr. Cheese—“a bit of old Edam in a hat.” I wonder if Terry Pratchett borrowed from the idea when he created Horace, the Lancre Blue cheese, thief and troublemaker that sports the Nac Mac Feegle clan tartan skirt. ;) The image of Angus driving the Prat Poodles crazy on the fence, “raising his paw slightly higher and higher” then “tapp[ing More...

Another laugh-out-loud book from the Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison, Dancing in My Nuddy-Pants! follows Georgia as she balances being the girlfriend of a pop-star sex god and maintaining a purely platonic relationship with Dave the Laugh, who's now dating her friend Ellen. In this book, Georgia and her friends take a class trip to Paris with gorgeous teacher Henri. Georgia hopes that her parents allowing her to take this trip means they will let her to go America (aka "hamburger More...

I love this series (I think I may have mentioned this in my previous reviews) but for me this is the weakest so far. It wasn't as funny as the previous books. I found the lack of major events really made the book lose some of it's humour. I just want to prove my point on the major event front, in book one Georgia was trying to woo Robbie, in book two she had to win him back after he dumped her an More...

Hilariously funny in Georgia Nicolson style but I was hoping there'd be more snogging with Dave! Oh well... I'm anxiously awaiting Book 5!

In all seriousness, though, I think Louise Rennison did something special by creating this character. Georgia is so easy to relate to. I find her to be so likable even though she's obviously flawed and self-centered sometimes. I think the relationships between her and her friends are very realistic and I could identify with how she was feeling abou More...

Summary:"even further confessions of Georgia Nicolson" The main crux of this entry in the Georgia Nicolson diaries is she is torn between Robbie the Sex God or Dave the Laugh. And at the end, Robbie goes off to New Zealand, so I am guessing she ends up with Dave, HOWEVER, there are like, 5 more books, so I am guessing that a lot more happens between now and then. My question: what are these guys seeing in her?
Response: Truth be More...

this book was about a girl named georigia nicolson who has a boy friend named robbie bt she like to call him the sex god. in the book georgia gets in trouble for acting silly and she want to tell robbie bt she thinks he will say she acts like a little girl and break up with her. then at a party that her friend rosie has she kisses her ex boy friend dave the laugh and she says that it was because she has red bottomisity (she likes to make up words) and so she trys her best to keep it from robbie More...

Don't get me wrong, I love these books, but it seems like the same things happen to Georgia over and over again. She's still dating the Sex God, but then Dave the Laugh comes along and snogs her and shes as confused as ever. And this seems to be happening like, once every month. And then Dave starts dating Georgia's friend Ellen, and she starts getting all jealous. FOR GOD SAKES WOMAN, IF YOU WANT TO BE WITH DAVE, JUST DUMP THE SEX GOD ALREADY.

I'm most definitely glad that Robbie (the More...

Combined review of the first four books in this series: My roommate owns the first four Georgia Nicholson books, and I picked the first one up to be bathroom reading, and then found myself zipping through the rest of the collection, too. They're embarrassingly Bridget Jones Lite, the diary entries of a 14-year-old British girl who's endearingly-and-sometimes-irritatingly superficial. I could actually FEEL my brain cells jumping ship as I read these things, but they're JUST charming and silly eno More...

As was the case with the first book in the series, this one was funny and ridiculous (but on purpose). Georgia has some hilarious observations, but I can't look past the fact that she is rather annoying and even stupid at times. I hate how she loses every sane thought in her head every time she is around her boyfriend. It's kind of sad, really. I realize that she's a teenager with raging hormones, but there are a lot of smart teens out there. She's not very relatable. I also hate the way she con More...

As always, a great pick-me up during a hormonally challenging week.

Friday, January 21st

Gorgey Henri has let the ace gang be in the same room together! How fab is he? Usually we get split in class, but the six of us are back together again. Yes!!! Les girls have arrived. It's a really groovy room as well. I have a bed by the window. I lay down on it and said, "Aaahhh, this is the sort of life I will be leading from now on."

I started reading this series probably ten years ago or so, in my teenaged years, and I think I stopped with this one as it was the newest at the time. Since then I've seen the series around and always meant to go back and finish the rest.

Georgia is an interesting oddball of a character. I can't always get a handle on her, especially as I noticed the author stopped mentioning how old Georgia is supposed to be. She mentions being fourteen mid-way in the second book, which I thought wa More...

who doesn't like funny book? Well if you hate books that seem exaggerated then i don't think you should read this book. Because i don't like how some people just say" only this book is sooo boring, doesn't read worthless, or something like when will this girl ever stoop" I think i learned a lot from this funny character Georgia. This time she is dealing with her ex boyfriend Dave and her current boyfriend Robbie. Haha it's funny when she gives weird names to things and people.

Kittens, Paris, and red bottomosity!! The trials and adventures of Georgia continue to delight me. I'm disappointed that none of the books following Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging have been all that funny. I mean, I've giggled here and there, but AT&FFS had me ROLLING XD. Still...I will continue on with the series! I'm sure most people stop reading after the second book....considering her work to be mindless drivel. As true as that may be, I can't help but be in love with the character More...

Absolutely hilarious, as usual. Georgia and her friends put their bags under their coats and pretend to be hunchbacks at Notre Dame, then accidentally step on the grass and get screamed at by the French park rangers. The little sister Libby insists G. kisses her old cheese-in-a-hat goodnight. And there is even a Virgin Mary of a cat giving birth to six kittens, prompting G. to cry for gifts to be brought to Bethlehem.

It is a great series of diary entries and story by georgia. she is a girl who believes everything in her life is terrible except for her amazing boyfriend. This book is all about whether she should choose her now boyfriend Robbie or her ex-boyfriend Dave the Laugh. It is a great book

Poor Georgia! Forced to cohabit with her insane Mutti and
Vati and the wicked Libbs and wildly red-bottomed Angus....to learn Maths and geoggers with
teachers who do not respect her maturosity and her sophisticosity....How can she possibly focus
on the truly important issues such as whether she should snog the Sex God or Dave the Laugh?

Liked IT.I can't even explain it.Sometimes I didn't understand what the hell Georgia was saying. Its written in Diary form. It's a Quick,Complicated,Flipping to the Dictionary to know what this means kind of Book.I don't get Robbie and Georgia relationship. She's kind of selfish and treats her best-friend bad.

Another teen diary novel ... this one very British, and one of a series. These make me snort with glee, laugh out loud... in other words, not suitable for reading in a public place if you don't want to attract notice. Georgia, the narrator, is so wonderfully self-absorbed, I can't help but adore her.

The fourth book in the Georgia Nicolson Confessions.

Georgia's "red - bottomosity" is getting the best of her. Now the Sex God is planning on leaving Georgia behind. And although that bothers Georgia deeply, she also can't help but think about Dave the Laugh. Could Georgia still have feelings for Dave? But what about Robbie, the Sex God? Only time will tell.

Louise Rennison is the best author. I love her books to death and I want the 5th one so badly! Please go More...

This book takes me back to what it was like to be a girl in middle school! It was hilarious! Probably too immature for some. Definitely not for serious reading. The whole serious is fabulous but it is not over yet and I am still waiting for the story to finish!
