You can tell that this is an older book because it appears to have been written for a scholarly audience rather than for the general public. This book tells of the presidency of William Taft the man who really didn’t want to be President and reached his dream job post presidency when appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The part about Taft's break from TR is really well-written. You can tell how hard it was on Taft and how TR pushed him into it.
