I read this book in the mid 1990s, mainly because the author was a high-school-friend's mum and my father admitted to admiring Rosemary McLeod when they went to the same university at the same time. I can't easily find a synopsis of it on the internet, therefore am unable to refresh my memory as to its plot, but I do remember liking it. I think I remember it being funny in a dry sort of way, and I think it sort of defied genre at the time, but perhaps it would be considered chick-lit now?
