Naruto and the gang have finally passed the 2nd exam. Now they move on to the preliminaries of the 3rd exam. For this one, students will have to duke it out in an all or nothing fight. However, what happens when Sasuke enters with his curse mark.

I know I already said this before but........IT'S MASTERFUL! THE DRAWINGS ARE AS AMAZING AS MAGNA CAN BE! THE STORY IS GREAT, AND IT EVERYTHING. IT HAS COMEDY, ROMANCE, ACTION, SADNESS, EPICNESS, AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF DRAMA. THIS BOOK SERI...more

Now this series is really get good (in my opinion). Naruto is seeming less like a bumbling idiot; a true camaraderie is forming between Naruto-Sasuke-Sakura; and we're getting to know so many of the other young ninjas (and all of the cool, unique skills they have)... Not to mention that we're getting more depth to the older/mentoring characters...

This volume starts us on the preliminaries to exam three, where the ninjas who made it through the Forest of Death now have to go into si...more

I must say it is and it will forever be(fingers crossed) my favorite Manga novel read.

the way Masashi Kishimoto described the characters is just awesome, you get to see them growing up, becoming responsible... powerful...

and it is not just characters,

The plot itself is so much bigger... u simply can't get enough of it. and add to that,

u get more than just entertainment, you learn...
what is
responsibility,
respect,
kindness,
friendship...more

The Journeyman Ninja Selection Exams continue with a nice little battle for Sasuke. The battle isn't the main thing, it's him fighting against the curse that's been laid on him and the reactions of his team mates and other contestants. The volume ends with a good look at what Sakura is capable of. I find she's often overshadowed by Naruto and Sasuke (unsurprising really) but I do like her character as well.

I was actually not looking forward to this volume, but it was alright. The Sasuke fight was alright, I loved how he seems to care about his friends and makes the curse seal withdraw. The Shino fight was really quick and so was the Kankuru fight. And now it's Sakura and Ino which has always been one of my favorite fights.
