I had to read this book for my History of America class. I'm not a big fan of war books so this was a really hard read for me. I really hated it. The author skips around a lot and it was really hard to piece together all the info for a 5 page paper. If you are really into war stuff then I'd try it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Very boring.
In all fairness, this poor review is a reflection on the Barnes & Noble Nook Book version of this book and not the author's work. I enjoyed reading the first part of the book but text errors made the remainder of the book virtually unreadable. B&N customer service was very poor and the problem could not be resolved. I reluctantly had to give up.
A good basic introduction to the war of which there are not many books for laypeople.
Fascinating history.
