I read the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd chapters. Very interesting! Presents the programming language Concurrent Pascal, which main inovation is the introduction of process and monitor types. Conditional variables are called queues, being operated by the primitives delay and continue. Queues can hold at most one delayed process. Seems that CHILL draws heavily from here.
