A good collection of short stories about school. Some were better than others. My favorites were, "Testing" by Tamora Pierce, "A Safe Space" by Joyce Hansen, and "Sproing!" by Joan Abelove.

A teacher, writer, and lecturer, he has won numerous awards and honors, including the 1997 International Reading Association Special Service Award and the National Council of Teachers of English Distinguished Service Award.
