this is my first SB and I really love it.
jarang-jarang ada cewek kayak Marnie yang rela ngorbanin masa remajanya buat ngurus anak kakaknya karna kakaknya terlalu gak peduli dan akhirnya meninggal karna kecelakaan, belum lagi harus ngurus ayahnya yang menderita penyakit jantung sebelum akhirnya meninggal, trus ibunya yang terserang stroke karna stress akibat ditinggal suami dan anak pertamanya.
ceritanya bener-bener bagus. Dari awal sampai akhir isinya menarik dan gak ngebosenin. More...

How can a telephone look "recently installed"? This was quick read that was borderline ridiculous in a lot of ways. Ok. It wasn't THAT bad.

Long Time Coming is a romance novel by Sandra Brown. I received a free copy from the Goodreads Giveaway Program. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. It’s a quick read, only 197 pages, and relatively short compared to her crime novels. I had never read a pure romance novel by Sandra before, so it was a new experience for me. This was a really good book. Sandra Brown really defines in this book a mother's love. I knew this was a romance, but I was expecting it to look more like a Nora Roberts than a Mills & Boon. Still, I was determined to read it though my expectations were considerably lowered by the cover. It seems a terrible thing to say, but I'm not generally a pure romance kind of girl and that's the best that can be said about Mills & Boon in terms of plot.

Great book by one of my favorite authors. Story is "dated", but not a problem, 80's setting - 1988 or '89. I found myself relating a lot to the main character, Marnie Hibbs. Seldom do I ever read a book more than once, but this is one I could reread in the future.

One of Sandra Brown's short romances. I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as some of her others, such as "Play Dirty." Possibly, it was just too short--not enough time to get to know the heroine. I borrowed this book from a coworker, looking for something to amuse myself. I was sorely disappointed. Not only was it hardly steamy, the plot was so thin that about halfway through, when I started skimming about a sentence on each right-facing page looking for interesting scenes, not only did I not find any, but I was still able to follow the plot without a bit of difficulty. This was a cute little romance story about a couple that meet when one was 14 (Marnie), the other was 23 (Law), the twist is that the older sister (16) was there too and she is the one with the summer romance with Law and ended up pregnant. The sister doesn't want the baby but the parents find out and intervene. She ends up having the baby, but never gives a damn about him, leaving Marnie to raise the child. The sister in her self destructive ways dies in an accident 4 years later.

Marnie Hibbs had been in love with Law Kincaid (a famous astronaut) since she first met him while on vacation with her family when she was 14. It is 17 years later and he has come to her place to confront her about the letters he has been receiving from her address threatening him and mentioning that he has a child that he knew nothing about.
I loved Law from the start and at first Marnie was okay too, but as the book progressed she was too much of a martyr and I did not enjoy her.

A young woman raising her sister's son as her own knows who the father is but has never told anyone. Lo and behold the father shows up with letters threating to revel him as the father when he never knew about the child. Now the fun begins, the woman loves the man but he was more interested in her sister. The man is angry finding he has a son he knows nothing about. And who is writing the threating letters if it's not the woman. You'll have to read the book to find out.

this was a really great book. but then again, i'm not surprised cause it's by Sandra Brown. the story was really down to earth and seemed plausible. and i liked the attitudes of the characters. they all seemed like real people and the situation in the novel seemed like one that could happen in real life. it had some sad moments, revelaional moments and of course a happy ending. i just love those =) recommend it to anyone who loves contemporary romance.

I loved this book - it's a tribute to single moms - I like that the hero saved the heroine before she got too bitter and that the heroine saved the hero before he got too settled in his ways.
Sandra Brown knows how to write books that have mystery in them but are not necessarily mysteries.

This story is suspenseful with a plot that hold you right to the end.
This story is a drama of two people who find each other through an almost unbelieveable circumstance. This author somehow makes you believe it. The ending is very satisfying.
I would highly recommend this book.
