This is the second printing of this book ("Close Cover Before striking was first printed with a solid neon green cover, and ribbon book marks with matchbooks at the end labeled "close cover before striking"). This book (congaing poems like "too far" and "everything was alive and dying") contains not only poetry but also short prose and editorial-styled essays.
