I've had this book on my reference shelf for several years and still refer to it whenever I want to implement a cool technique in Photoshop that I don't do very often. The author provides clear, easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions for reproducing the effects under discussion. This is a fair book with a decent number of gimmicks that allow you to get used to Photoshop tools. Like with most computer guides, it's expensive for what it offers - especially with the turnaround time for new software. It's also hard to find practical applications for some of the suggestive techniques. This is a series that I'd recommend those with Photoshop checking out from the library or getting from a used bookstore rather than purchasing new.

Some cool techniques, but most of them have little application outside of their one use.
