Was doing a tiny research for a course named Written Expression. My research was about comparing the disasters of Titanic, Empress of Ireland, and Lusitania. This book gave sufficient information, although I relied on other sources in the case of Titanic, as it did give differing numbers of survivors and deaths than some others sources which had similar numbers to each other. There was a good, short account of all the disasters, sufficient for my mini research.
I guess I was expecting something different then what this book delivers. It has small b/w photos and really doesn't go into any great detail about particular incidents. This book is laid out more like an encyclopedia in that it gives short notes to a number of disasters, rather than really focusing on each one with great detail. It is an older book so it only goes into the mid 80's.
