An interesting commentary on some classic SF movies. I especially enjoyed the author's take on the Terminator and Alien franchises, which were explored in depth.
She makes an excellent (and logical) point that, in order to make a good SF movie, one has to have knowledge of what has been done in the genre so far. Also, one shouldn't assume that SF is a bottom-of-the-barrel genre where anything goes, since that way you only end up insulting your audience's intelligence.
