Oke reviewnya:

You know, I really don’t have any complaints about this book. It’s well-written, cohesive and the characters are relatable. I had a little trouble in the beginning trying to get used to the flipping of time periods but it’s something you get used to over the course of the book.

In terms of style, that was my biggest gripe. It’s a little much in the beginning of the book to be tossed about like that, mixed in with info-dumping in order to get the backstory of the witches and warlocks in. Consideri

terlalalu banyak flashback sehingga saya dibuat pusing ketika membacanya, tak

Meh!

I find this continued novel to have the same plot, which for the Cahors witches to end the vendetta and the warlocks (Michael and Eli) to get revenge. This author uses the same flash forward and flash back to the past method in her narration of the story. There are a lot of “prayers” and “spells” at the beginning of each chapter; also each chapter has a specific title such as: Blood, Mead, Dark, or Red Moon.

Great magic/witch book, the idea is original and all though it took me a little while to understand some parts; it was an over all good book.

It was okay. I read it because I loved Debbie Viguie's Witch Hunter series but this novel doesn't really compare. It has the darkness and the witchcraft but where her other series have Christan undertones this one really didn't so it seemed to me all dark and no light. I purchased the second one at the same time so I will read that one at some point but am in no hurry to finish the series like I have with all of her other series.

In all fairness, I have never read anything else by Nancy Holder.

Erster Satz: Na toll.

SLJ review:

Grade 9 Up There is something unnatural about the tragic river rafting accident in which 17-year-old Holly Cathers lost her parents and best friend. Being forced to live with her Aunt Marie-Claire and twin cousins Nicole and Amanda in Seattle is not how Holly planned to spend her senior year in high school. It turns out that Holly has a history going back hundreds of years, and the past is about to catch up with her. Reincarnation, dark witchcraft, and blood sacrifice make for an intr

Oh, great, a storm. On top of everything else.
These are Holly's thoughts as she white-water rafts down the Colorado River with her fighting parents, her best friend Tina (another only child) and the guide. It gets worse.
The raft is capsized, Holly can't unbuckle the belt that ties her into the raft and the water is freezing, drowning her, as the raft sinks.
I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die. This is all Holly can think as the grey mist descends and she becomes numb, empty. She closes her eyes.

It's been a while since I listened to this book but I've wanted to review it. (I'm actually currently upset that I can't seem to find the date I finished this book on, ugh!) Anyway onto the book.

When I first started this audiobook I wasn't sure that I would like it. I did not like the narrator, I found her voice to be too "high school girl" for my tastes (made worse when the POV shifted to the guys). Also Witch is a very dark tale of witched, as I mentioned in my review of Born Wicked by Jessica

I gave this book so many chances to turn around but it just didn't. I started this one because I liked one of Holders other books but this one really bugged me.

I listened to it which may have been a hindered in this case but then again they made it into an audiobook.

It has historical flashback moments reminiscent of Beautiful Creatures but unlike Beautiful Creatures (which I also listened to)it didn't work. I was lost a lot, I it was really hard to follow. The perspective jumped around so that

I want to like this book for the celebration of womanhood. I want to like this book for it's strong characters. I want to like this book for weaving together an ancient tale with a modern story. I want to like this book because it's a best seller. And all of these things are true. But the truth of the matter is I picked this book up to read it because its a book marketed to the YA audience and I try and stay abreast of what my students are reading. But it is so dark I barely finished.

Not very well written and certainly not original, but I still enjoyed it a lot.
Given my enjoyment of it (enjoyment factor only), I'd give it 4 stars, but I won't rate it on account of Viguié's shameless self-rating.
She gave every single one of her books 5 stars...tacky much?

Debbie Viguié, try being more like your friend Nancy Holder and leave the ratings blank for readers. The only reason why I will continue reading the series is because Nancy Holder is not to blame, otherwise I wouldn't read an

This book couldn't decide who its audience was. . The main character is a high school student, making it seem like a young adult book. However the goriness of several of the deaths, the body count and some situations make it inappropriate for the high school reader. Some scenes were unrealistic.

I liked this book but not to the point where I had to finish it right away i took my sweet time reading it. It was a good book though. Its about a girl named Holly who has recently had her world shattered. Then on top of that she ends up having to move to Seattle after living in San Francisco her whole life. Then all sorts of strange things begin to happen that she never understood. Soon things start to make sense.

This is a good story. especially if you like stories about witches. It isn’t exact

Witch was an interesting book. I found it to be a little confusing at first but then I got into what was going on and it wasn't so confusing. To be honest it actually took quite a while to get the hang of what was going on.
I think that Witch is alright but it isn't a book I overly loved, nor hated. Some of the characters annoyed me a little and I wasn't overly fond of the content of a lot of the book.
The story line was quite cool. I think it was a good opening for a series and I'll definitely re

Holly Cathers becomes an orphan after a tragic family rafting trip. She notices that her parents' relationship had been strained for several weeks, in fact she overhears the word "witch" exchanged. Meanwhile, the Devereaux family of warlocks and rivals to the Cather family, is looking for the member of the Cather family who is the strongest to perform a powerful spell which will defeat the Cather family.

This is as far as I got. The writing was pretty disjointed, flashing back to a historical acc
