Shelves: theology
I had heard about Schillebeeckx previously, but never had any interest in reading him. I read this book as part of a reading course for my PhD and am i glad that I did! I found Schillebeeckx incredibly rewarding, both in his insightful comments on hermeneutics place in theology and also on his critical stance on critical theory and theology. I think his attempt to synthesize critical theory with constructive theology is very attractive and I am sure it will come to use in my introduction in my ...more
